The Center for Applied Imagination(CAI) is a unique academic unit within Buffalo State, State University of New York. Since 1967, they have trained students, groups, teams and organizations to become more effective creative thinkers and problem solvers and to instill these skills in others. As the first school to offer a Master of Science degree in creativity, the CAI has achieved an international reputation for scholarly research and teaching that focuses on developing creativity, leadership, decision-making and problem solving skills.
In 2014 the CAI and the School of Creative Thinking decided to embark in a joint effort to offer Buffalo State’s Graduate Certificate and Master Program in Creativity and Change Leadership in Europe. For this joint effort a foundation (in Dutch ‘stichting’) was established in the Netherlands with the name Academy for Creative Leadership.
The foundation aims to promote creative leadership in Europe. In this capacity it facilitates the CAI’s graduate level programs in Europe. These programs are offered by the CAI at Buffalo State to a European cohort of students. The practical organisation lies with the Stichting Academy for Creative Leadership.
The Stichting Academy for Creative Leadership is registered in the Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce No. 63310511. The foundation is located at Panamalaan 2E in Amsterdam.
The board of the Stichting Academy for Creative Leadership consists of:
Branko Broekman – Chair
Gerard Puccio – Vice chair
